FilmSALT was shot in Ibiza, whose salt lakes are an important part of the local economy. The work is dangerous; the film crew staged the death of a worker in order to record his co-workers’ responses. The film also confronts film with life. This important work of the “Spanish New Wave” (the Barcelona School) is a portent of a new approach to film.
