Must Read After My Death

After the death of his grandma, the director discovered hidden family films and audiotapes recorded in the 50s and the 60s. He used them to compile a private picture of a dysfunctional American family living its seemingly peaceful life in the suburbs. Yet, behind the scenes, there are disrupted relationships between the members of the family, visits to psychiatrists and shock therapies. The story is told by the voice of a dead woman, victim of oppression, abuse and institutionalized misogyny.
